Professional Bio
Dr. Johnstone is a doctoral prepared scholar-practitioner. Currently serves as full time - Clinical Faculty (Professor) for an online MSN program. She has extensive clinical experience as part-time academic nursing coach, part-time clinical assistant professor for a traditional BSN-RN program & online RN-BSN program, part-time clinical assistant professor for a bachelor of science in rehabilitation public health program, part-time professor for a doctoral (DNP) program as a DNP capstone mentor, clinical nurse educator, clinical practice specialist, perioperative practice specialist, vascular surgery team leader, and staff RN in various clinical settings that include geriatric, perioperative, psychiatric, and case manager. Is an author for two AORN perioperative practice guidelines (2018/2019). In her spare time, Dr. Johnstone enjoys peer-reviewing nursing articles and is a life-long learner as evidenced by her academic achievements. Dr. Johnstone promotes educating and mentoring nurses’ seeking to advance nursing education.
