FACES OF ACHE:
A Panel Discussion on Diversity and Inclusiveness
79th Annual ACHE Conference & Meeting
Continuing education continues to expand into the aggressive recruitment of underserved student populations, by way of community college articulation agreements and grant-supported initiatives focused specifically on the recruitment and retention of underrepresented populations in STEM. But as the challenge continues to boost enrollments and retain these students – and in light of pending changes to the Delayed Action for Childhood Arrival (DACA) program – there is less time to focus on diversity and inclusion programming and strategies that help not only with student satisfaction and retention, but also of those diverse faculty and staff who support them. The panel will share their insights into such topics as recruitment of diverse faculty and staff, mentorship, research projects with diverse faculty and students, and innovative engagement.
Join the conversation about diversity and inclusiveness in continuing higher education at #ACHEimagine!
