Brandi Huskey

Interim Director, Off-Campus Programs, East Tennessee State University

Brandi Huskey is a strategic and service-driven leader with more than a decade of experience advancing access, innovation, and collaboration in higher education. She currently serves as Interim Director of Off-Campus Operations at East Tennessee State University, where she oversees the operations of multiple regional centers, leads institutional initiatives to expand educational access, and builds strategic partnerships that align university goals with community needs. A long-standing advocate for adult and nontraditional learners, Brandi brings a deep understanding of continuing education’s evolving role in regional and institutional development. Since 2013, she has led ETSU's Sevierville site, growing enrollment, increasing visibility, and strengthening community engagement through responsive, mission-driven leadership. Brandi has been an engaged member of ACHE for several years and currently serves on the Board of Directors (2025–2028). Her leadership experience includes serving as Chair and Past Chair of the South Region (2024), Vice Chair (2023), and as a presenter and planner for the Emerging Leader Institute (2025). She has served on numerous planning committees for both ACHE and ACHE South. She is passionate about fostering inclusive leadership, cultivating the next generation of professionals, and amplifying the impact of continuing higher education nationwide.

Amy Carmack

Executive Director of Advising, Testing, Career and Transfer Services, Quinsigamond Community College

Dr. Amy Carmack is passionate about improving the student experience and has spent almost 20 years pursuing that mission. Prior to working in higher education, she worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs National Center for Patient Safety. She has worked for public and private institutions, 2-year and 4-year institutions, but the vision and mission always stayed the same. She is currently the Executive Director of Advising, Testing, Career and Transfer Services for Quinsigamond Community College. 


Cassidy Huntsman

Training Coordinator, University of Utah

Cassidy currently serves as the Training Coordinator for Campus Advising Solutions at the University of Utah, where she leads advisor onboarding, facilitates training initiatives, and collaborates across campus to ensure consistent, student-centered support. With over a decade of experience in higher education, she has a strong background in student transition programs, leadership development, and staff training.

Prior to her current role, Cassidy served as an Assistant Director of Orientation and Transition at the U, where she reimagined new student onboarding to be inclusive, engaging, and grounded in best practices. Her work has focused on creating meaningful experiences for students and staff alike, with a special emphasis on supporting nontraditional and adult learners.

Cassidy has been actively involved in ACHE since 2022 and quickly fell in love with the organization’s mission and community. Since then, she has remained deeply engaged and committed to helping ACHE grow, evolve, and become even stronger for its members.

Known for her creativity, artistic strengths, and strong presentation skills, Cassidy brings a unique lens to professional development and problem-solving. Whether she’s designing trainings, events, or experiences, she infuses her work with innovation and intention—always keeping learners at the center.

Guided by her core values—family, respect, integrity, caring, and service—Cassidy leads with heart, authenticity, and a deep belief in the power of continuing education. As a Director-at-Large, she brings energy, collaboration, and a clear vision for strengthening ACHE’s impact and member experience.


David W. Rausch

Associate Dean and Professor, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga

David Rausch serves as the Associate Dean for the College of Health, Education, and Professional Studies and as Professor and Director for the Applied Leadership & Learning doctoral and undergraduate programs at UT Chattanooga. In these roles, he engages with faculty, staff, and students in the ongoing effort to provide high-quality learning, leadership, and professional practice opportunities. He has designed and delivered executive, corporate, and professional training programs, as well as undergraduate and graduate academic programs related to organizational improvement / transformation, leadership, and learning. His research agenda includes contemporary (adult) learning, hybrid and online learning, authentic assessment, cohort-based learning, credit for prior learning, and mastery learning and assessment. Previously, he has served as faculty at all higher education levels in addition to serving in leadership roles at Macomb Community College, Davenport University, and Northwood University. He has previously served as Vice Provost and SACSCOC liaison for UT Chattanooga. Rausch earned his PhD in Leadership from Andrews University and his MBA from Samford University. Prior to his academic career, he served in a number of senior positions in publicly and privately held companies in the US, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, South Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. He is a US Navy veteran. 


Dianna Rust

Professor, Middle Tennessee State University

Dianna Z. Rust earned her Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Middle Tennessee State University and earned her Ed.D. from Tennessee State University. She is a Professor in University College and regularly teaches online and on-ground classes including Honors, undergraduate and graduate courses and was recognized by MTSU with the Outstanding Teaching Award in 2021. She serves as Program Coordinator for the Bachelor of Integrated Studies and Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies. She previously served as Associate Dean in University College and directed the academic outreach and distance learning efforts at MTSU.  She is a member of the Association for Interdisciplinary Studies and the Association for Continuing Higher Education serving as past president of ACHE South. Other leadership positions include serving on the board of MTSU’s Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Feed America and as faculty advisor for the MTSU Chapter of Colleges Against Cancer. A recent recipient of the Harold Love Sr. Outstanding Community Service Award (state-level) and MTSU's Outstanding Public Service Award (2024) as a result of her service to the university and community. Her research interests are related to student success for both traditional and non-traditional student populations, interdisciplinary studies, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. In addition to publishing articles and presenting on these topics, she serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Continuing Higher Education (JCHE) and as the Prior Learning Assessment section editor. 


Janine Guerra

Director of Recruitment and Enrollment, College of Arts and Sciences, Drexel University

Janine N. Guerra has over 16 years of experience in higher education, specializing in recruitment and enrollment management. She currently serves as the Director of Recruitment and Enrollment for Drexel University’s College of Arts and Sciences. Janine began her career as an Admissions Recruiter for Temple University's law school, then moved to Saint Joseph's University as Assistant/Associate Director of the MBA Program, where she successfully launched the Online MBA Program. She later became Director of the Haub Degree Completion Program, managing recruitment, advising, and retention initiatives for adult undergraduate business students. Janine transitioned to faculty in the Decision & Systems Sciences department at Saint Joseph's, progressing from Adjunct Professor to Assistant Professor of Practice. Her teaching included courses in Information Systems, Data Visualization, Supply Chain Management, and Big Data & Analytics. She also spearheaded the High School Analytics & Data Visualization Competition before joining Drexel University in 2022.

Janine holds a BSBA in Management Information Systems, an MBA, and a Master's in Education from Saint Joseph's University, as well as a JD from Temple University and an LLM in Cyber Law and Data Privacy from Drexel University. She is admitted to the state bars of PA, NJ, FL, and the United States Supreme Court. Janine has also completed a Graduate Certificate in College Teaching from Drexel University and a Post-MBA Certificate in Marketing from Saint Joseph's University. Additionally, she is a doctoral candidate in Creighton University's Interdisciplinary Leadership EdD program, researching recruitment of nontraditional undergraduate students in four-year institutions.

Janine lives in Philadelphia with her Bichon Frise dogs, Brigid and Liesl. She is an avid Phillies and Eagles fan who enjoys sewing and performing as a soloist and choir member for her parish church and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa.


Jennifer Gettings

Assistant Dean, Loyola University Chicago

Jennifer Gettings has worked at Loyola University Chicago’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) for over two decades in various roles and currently serves as Assistant Dean. In this role, she oversees the student services team, which includes academic advising, recruitment, admissions, external partnerships, and scholarship oversight. She also contributes to marketing efforts and strategic initiatives for diverse student populations, including veterans. Jennifer is an Executive Board Member and Membership Development Co-Director for Alpha Sigma Lambda and received the William C. Hines Distinguished Service Award in 2024. She also serves on Loyola’s Graduate & Professional Policy Taskforce and contributes to cross-campus initiatives focused on student success, access, and equity. She regularly presents on the work she and her colleagues are doing at SCPS, offering insights on strategies that support adult learners to peers at other institutions. Her work spans multiple aspects of student support and reflects a deep commitment to improving the experience and outcomes of adult and post-traditional learners. She is dedicated to fostering inclusive, accessible pathways for those balancing education with work and life responsibilities.


Sherry Blok

Senior Director Executive and Professional Programs, Concordia University

With over 28 years of experience at Concordia University, I am a dedicated leader in the field of continuing, professional, and executive education. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Executive and Professional Programs, I provide strategic leadership for innovative, impactful learning opportunities that address the evolving needs of individuals, organizations, and society. My work focuses on designing responsive programs, advancing francization initiatives, supporting workforce development, and aligning educational offerings with the strategic priorities of the university.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a deep commitment to lifelong learning and academic excellence. I have held progressive leadership roles including Director of Programs and Programs and Academic Development Coordinator at Concordia Continuing Education, where I oversaw curriculum development, instructor recruitment, learner experience, and the overall delivery of high-quality programming.

A cornerstone of my work has been leading the advancement and institutional adoption of recognition of prior learning (RPL) across both non-credit and credit sectors. I have worked collaboratively with university leadership, faculties, and external partners to integrate RPL practices that validate informal and experiential learning, create new pathways for learners, and support greater equity and access in higher education.

My expertise lies in bridging academic innovation with real-world application. I collaborate closely with university faculties, community stakeholders, industry partners, and national and international organizations to create programs that are accessible, relevant, and future-focused. I also lead and mentor cross-functional teams, foster inclusive learning environments, and champion alternative credentials and flexible learning models.

I hold a Master’s degree in Second Language Education from McGill University and a Certificate in Performance Leadership from Cornell University. I also actively contribute to the advancement of the field through volunteer leadership with the Association for Continuing and Higher Education (ACHE), where I serve as Chair of the Business Development Committee, Co-Chair of the 2024 Annual Conference, and previously as a member of the Webinar Committee. My mission is to empower individuals and institutions to thrive through learning, and to shape the future of higher education with vision, collaboration, and purpose.


Steve Frye

Professor and Director of the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, Tennessee Tech University.

Steve began his Journey at Tennessee Tech in 2006 teaching Educational Psychology. In 2009, he had the good fortune of meeting Dean Susan Elkins and joining her team in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies, where his passion for teaching, creating opportunities, and serving adult learners had new avenues to flourish.  Since those early days, the SOIS has developed an array of programs and services: 2+2 adult learner programs, off-campus partnerships, specialized courses for student athletes, an American Sign Language program, credit recovery workshops, minors in Leadership, Religious Studies, Project Management, and Caregiving, and a newly approved major in Interdisciplinary Computing.  He likes to call the School of Interdisciplinary Studies the “creative sandbox of the university”.  Steve teaches courses in adult learning, critical thinking and problem solving, university experience, and religious studies. 

He first met the ACHE family at the 2010 South conference in Cocoa Beach.  The community and encouragement evident in the group was an inviting breath of fresh air.  He has served the South region as Member at Large and Chair, and has been a member of the editorial board since 2014. This year he received the South region Continuing Education Leadership Award.  He has also served on the boards of AAACE and ANTSHE, and was President of AAACE in 2016 and 2023.

Steve has been married to Bex for 40 years and they have two sons: Jordan and Taylor. He enjoys hanging out with family, spending time outdoors, fishing on his kayak, fixing things, and playing with their dog Rosie Cotton.
