Valerie A. Delleville, Ed.D., Chair
American College of Healthcare Sciences

Dr. Valerie A. Delleville serves as Dean of Academic Affairs for the American College of Healthcare Sciences. Previously, she was Associate Dean of business core and microcredentials at Western Governors University’s College of Business. Delleville held leadership positions at the Council for Adult & Experiential Learning, Laureate International Universities, and Drexel University. She has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education spanning program development, online student retention, enrollment management, partnerships, consulting, evaluation, and alternative forms of learning for college credit (PLA, CBE, and experiential learning).

Valerie holds an Ed.D. and M.S. in Higher Education from Drexel University, a MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a dual B.S. in Psychology & Business from the University of Pittsburgh. She studied abroad through Semester at Sea in Japan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, Kenya, South Africa, Brazil and Cuba.

LeSondra Jones, Vice Chair
California State University, San Bernardino

LeSondra Jones is the Senior Program Specialist of Workforce Development at the College of Extended and Global Education at California State University San Bernardino.

LeSondra has increased community partnerships and expanded Professional and Continuing Education course offerings that varies from; youth programs, customized training, professional development and career training programs. She has presented at the California Workforce Association conference highlighting the growing need of Continuing Education through strategic partnerships.

LeSondra continues to place student success at the forefront of all discussions as she leads from the integrative model encouraging those around her to push the boundaries of continuing education and training by collaborating with community and business organizations.

L'Erin Carmode, Secretary
Western Governors University

L’Erin Carmode is a Program Experience Manager, who helps improve both the student and faculty experience, at Western Governors University.

Specifically, she supports key initiatives, strategies, and programmatic outcomes, such as student retention, engagement, and, ultimately, graduation. With over 10 years of higher education experience in a variety of settings, L’Erin finds ways to bring a unique perspective and uses her experiences to help “bridge the gap” between individuals and institutions.

L’Erin holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Northeastern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Western New England College.

Melanie Mitchell, Treasurer
Oregon State University

Melanie Mitchell is the Director of Continuing and Professional Education at Oregon State University's College of Business. Melanie works to engage businesses with the college and specifically with companies to develop and deliver custom employee training solutions that address their most pressing challenges.

Michael Lopez-Patton, Past Chair
Pacific Oaks College

Michael Lopez-Patton has over 10 years’ experience in operations and higher education leadership and management. In his role as Associate Vice President of Admissions for Pacific Oaks College, Michael serves on the college President's Executive Cabinet and contributes to the creation of and implementation of the College's strategic plan. Michael works with multiple departments to ensure student needs are met while providing an environment of professional development and growth for employees.

Alex Read, Director-at-Large
Council for Adult and Experiential Learning

Alex Read develops, designs, implements, and delivers professional development programs for the College of Continuing Education at Sacramento State. He is responsible for a portfolio of certificate and customized contract training programs. In a leadership role with the organization, Alex creates a team environment that fosters collaboration and growth of the department. In addition to these responsibilities, Alex assists in operationalizing our strategic plans to meet the goals and objectives of the university.

Regina Cash, Director-at-Large
California State University, LA

Regina Cash is the Associate Dean of Programs and Academic Programs for the College of Professional and Global Education (PaGE) at California State University, Los Angeles. Ms. Cash oversees all the credit and noncredit programming for the college, as well as corporate education and Semester in LA. Ms. Cash is a Certified Workforce Development Professional through the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals and has over 25 years of experience in this field.

Jim Franklin, Director-at-Large
Council for Adult and Experiential Learning

Jim Franklin's path to higher education leadership began with his Deloitte experience. In addition to Fortune 500 client service responsibilities, he was charged with recruiting a large volume of students from leading universities. These recruiting experiences helped him to develop an independent perspective on the effectiveness of university operations and student services.

Over the years, his energy and enthusiasm for student success grew. It ultimately led to a higher education position at the UT Austin McCombs School of Business.

During his 10 years at UT Austin, he gained a great understanding of the complex needs of key constituents in the university community. That knowledge and experience further drove his interest in maximizing potential educational outcomes for students.

In his current role with Western Governors University (WGU), he remains focused on student success.
