 The Value of Differences: From Transactional to Transformational Leadership certification is designed for individuals at all levels of an organization who seek to cultivate resilience and agility to support their organizations as change agents.  Participants will develop and enhance leadership competencies to support positive transformation.  This is a desirable, complementary certification for those that want to be transformative leaders.

The content of the Value of Differences: From Transactional to Transformational Leadership certification focuses on organizational change leadership, institutional direction setting and leading inclusive teams at the individual, department and institutional level. In addition, participants will develop a unique transformational leadership mindset that goes beyond managing the usual day-to-day activities and will gain the knowledge and confidence to create strategies for taking their team to the next level of performance and success.

Leader in Action: Leading Transformational Change

Learning Outcomes:

  • Acquire tools and techniques for effectively leading and motivating organizational change
  • Understand why transformation initiatives often face resistance and address the root causes
  • Learn how to design and reshape organizational structures and systems to support organizational change and transformation
  • Model change behaviors and learn to develop a culture of teamwork and collaboration that supports transformation

Leader as Self: Explore inclusive leadership and how to thrive in complexity 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify diversity and inclusion as drivers of organizational success and employee engagement
  • Understand the perceptual, institutional, and psychological processes that impact the ways people interact with each other
  • Examine how professionals can design better work practices and leverage employee potential
  • Investigate individual responsibilities as an inclusive leader
  • Explore the internal mindset shift that all employees and leaders must embrace to lead effectively

Leader & Development: Understand how to develop and understand strategic plans that are sustainable, agile, dynamic and intentional 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Become familiar with the language common to strategic planning and goal setting
  • Learn to communicate strategic planning and goal-setting concepts
  • Identify key points in the development of a transformative strategic plan
  • Implementation of the strategic plan: How to get things done

Data-Driven Leadership: Obtain the knowledge, tools and techniques to collaborate, manage and lead in an evolving data landscape

Learning Outcomes:

  • Examine the values of data-informed decision making
  • Develop the habits and skills necessary for data-driven leadership
  • Learn to seek and understand data, to question assumptions and to think critically about reports and data displays
  • Demonstrate how to balance analytical and creative thinking in plans and decisions
  • Advance data-driven management skills such as formulating value-adding questions, directing the collection and selection of data, operationalizing the insights from data, and telling stories with data
