Stony Brook University's School of Professional Development offers two graduate programs in Higher Education Administration: the Master of Arts and the Advanced Graduate Certificate. The programs, which are available on-campus or completely online, are designed to provide the academic preparation and credential necessary for college and university professionals to enhance their expertise and advance their careers.
Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration
The 30-credit M.A .in Higher Education Administration addresses the unique professional development needs of college and university administrators who seek to advance in their careers through focused graduate-level study. Combining aspects of theory and practice within the dynamic context of American higher education, the curriculum equips practitioners to sharpen their analytical skills and improve decision-making through an interdisciplinary program drawing upon the academic strengths of Stony Brook.
Advanced Graduate Certificate in Higher Education Administration
The 18-credit Advanced Graduate Certificate (AGC) in Higher Education Administration is designed to provide practitioners with the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of student affairs and college and university administration through graduate study.
